A LITTLE CLARITY GOES A LONG WAY

Important paperwork.
A more human experience.

Know what each service means, and what to bring. Zachary helps with the notarial act; your document’s issuer or recipient tells you which act you need.

Signature witnessing

Sign in the notary’s presence.

What this includes +

Zachary checks the signer’s identity and witnesses the signature for the requested notarial act. This is different from bringing a separate document witness.

Acknowledgments

Acknowledge your signature.

What this includes +

Appear in person, establish your identity and acknowledge that you signed the document. Follow Zachary’s instructions; an acknowledgment does not always require a new signature in his presence.

Oaths & affirmations

Make a solemn statement of truth.

What this includes +

An oath or affirmation is a formal promise that a statement is true. An affirmation offers a nonreligious alternative. Zachary can administer either as appropriate.

Verification on oath or affirmation

For a sworn written statement.

What this includes +

Sometimes called a jurat: establish your identity, swear or affirm that the statement is true, and sign as instructed in the notary’s presence. Ask the receiving organization which act it requires.

Eligible certified copies

An original and its matching copy.

What this includes +

Zachary compares an eligible copy with the original for completeness and accuracy. Some public records need certified copies from the issuing authority. Acceptance by the receiving organization must be checked.

Powers of attorney

Notarization for a prepared document.

What this includes +

Bring the prepared document and required signer. Zachary performs the requested eligible notarial act; he does not draft the document, select legal provisions or advise on its effect.

Import & export documents

Notarial support for business records.

What this includes +

Notarization of eligible, already-prepared business documents, subject to review. This does not include customs advice, apostilles, document preparation or a guarantee of acceptance abroad.

ID & passport questions

Clear guidance before your visit.

What this includes +

Identity checking is part of notarization, not a separate government ID-validation service. A passport may be acceptable identification. Passport-copy requests need review for eligibility and recipient requirements; we do not issue, renew or authenticate passports.

DOCUMENTS & PLACES

The paperwork is personal. So is the visit.

These are document categories, not separate promises of legal expertise. Every request is checked for the appropriate notarial act.

Trust documents+

Notarization of eligible, prepared trust-related documents. No trust drafting, legal interpretation or wills.

Real-estate signings+

Ask about individual prepared real-estate documents. Loan packages and refinances need separate scope confirmation and are not yet approved.

Refinances & loan packages+

Inquiry only. Zachary must confirm this work and any signing-agent requirements before it is offered. No automatic booking confirmation.

Business documents+

Eligible signatures, acknowledgments and sworn statements on prepared business records, including import/export requests.

Title paperwork+

Notarial acts on eligible prepared vehicle or property title paperwork. We do not transfer titles, act as escrow or give ownership advice.

Repossession paperwork+

Notarization of eligible prepared affidavits and related records only. No repossession work, debt collection or legal advice.

Medical documents+

Notarial acts on eligible prepared medical-related forms. No medical advice or determination of a document’s legal effect. Don’t send health details through this form.

Financial documents+

Eligible prepared financial forms requiring a notarial act. No financial advice or medallion signature guarantees. Loan packages stay pending scope confirmation.

Hospitals & care facilities+

Mobile appointments subject to facility access, visiting rules, identification and the notary’s assessment of willingness and ability to proceed. Coordinate with staff first.

Nonlegal document assistance+

Ask about practical help organizing paperwork and following supplied clerical instructions. No choosing legal forms, drafting, interpreting documents or telling you what legal answers to enter.

No wills. Loan packages and refinances require scope confirmation. No legal advice or document drafting. See the full FAQs

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE A TIME

What to bring: Acknowledgments

A practical checklist for this request. The document’s issuer or recipient may require additional items; confirm their instructions before the visit.

1. Your identification

Each signer should bring an original passport, driver’s license or government-issued nondriver ID that is current or expired no more than three years before the appointment. Other government ID with a photo or signature may be acceptable to the notary. Zachary may request additional identification.

No ID, an older expiration date or a name difference? Call before booking so Zachary can review lawful alternatives. A document witness is not automatically an identity witness. Do not upload ID photos or numbers.

2. Your documents

  • The complete document whose signature you need to acknowledge, including its notarial certificate and referenced attachments.
  • Any instructions from the organization receiving it.

3. Check before the visit

  • Confirm whether anyone else must appear and whether a particular certificate is required.
  • Have every person whose signature will be notarized attend with their own ID. Bring any separate witnesses required for this document.
  • Zavala’s witness policy excludes family members. Supplied witnesses need at least seven days’ notice and Zachary’s confirmation.

4. When to sign

An existing signature may be acknowledged. Do not cross it out or sign again unless instructed; you must appear and acknowledge your signature.

Something missing or unclear? Call Zachary at (509) 208-8383 before making plans. Do not upload identification or confidential records here.

Where these requirements come from

The ID and notarial-act guidance follows Washington’s identification law and notarial-act requirements. Document-specific lists are preparation guidance, not a legal determination that a package is complete or valid.

Please don’t text ID photos, Social Security numbers or confidential document contents. If you need printing, ask how to arrange it first. No appointment is reserved by viewing this page.

GOOD QUESTIONS, CLEAR ANSWERS

A few things
worth knowing.

Still unsure? You don’t need to figure it all out on your own.

Call (509) 208-8383
What documents do I need for my particular visit?+

Choose your service on the What to bring page or when arranging your visit. You will see a tailored checklist before choosing a time. Bring the complete prepared document, attachments and issuer or recipient instructions. Requirements vary by the actual form and receiving organization, so an unresolved question needs review before a final appointment is agreed.

Can Zachary print my documents before arriving?+

Ask Zachary about printing when arranging the visit. Confirm the file transfer, number of copies, paper size, single- or double-sided printing and any separate charge before you agree. Online document uploads are not currently available.

What if I am missing a document or acceptable ID?+

Choose “I need help confirming documents or ID” before continuing, or call Zachary. He must resolve that question before offering the final appointment quote. Do not assume a photograph of an ID, a relative or a document witness automatically meets identity requirements.

Can I notarize online instead of meeting in person?+

This business provides in-person mobile notarization. Zachary travels to the agreed location. Remote online notarization is not offered through this website.

Can you come to my home or workplace?+

Yes. Request a home or business appointment, or suggest a coffee shop or public meeting place. The location, travel fee and meeting arrangements must be agreed before Zachary travels. A suggested venue is not a confirmed venue.

What will my appointment cost?+

The notarial fee is $15 per act. Travel is $30 for the first five one-way driving miles from central Toppenish, plus $1.50 for each additional mile. One act within five miles totals $45. The travel fee covers the visit with no separate return-mileage charge. Trips beyond 40 miles and printing require a separate quote. Zachary confirms the route and total before you agree. A travel fee is additional to notarial fees, is not required by law and must be agreed before travel. Not every page is a separate notarial act. Unknown details stay pending until reviewed.

What if I don’t know the right notarial act?+

Choose ‘I’m not sure’ and request a review. Zachary can explain the acts he performs but cannot select a legal document or give legal advice. Ask the document’s issuing or receiving organization which act it requires.

Can you provide witnesses?+

Customers ordinarily arrange eligible witnesses. Under Zavala’s service policy, witnesses cannot be family members. For Zavala-supplied witnesses, request at least seven days in advance and wait for Zachary’s approval. Advance notice does not guarantee witness availability.

What identification should I bring?+

Bring appropriate government-issued identification, such as a passport or driver’s license, for the notary to review. Additional identification may be requested. Don’t upload an ID image or send ID numbers through this website. Call if you have questions about your ID before your appointment.

Can you verify my passport?+

A passport can be used to establish a signer’s identity when it meets the applicable requirements. Passport-copy requests are reviewed individually; ask the receiving organization what certification it accepts. This is not passport issuance, renewal, government authentication or an immigration-advice service.

What services aren’t offered?+

No wills. Loan packages and refinances are inquiry-only until Zachary confirms the scope and any signing-agent requirements. This site does not offer remote online notarization, legal-document preparation, immigration advice or apostille services. Additional exclusions may apply after review. Appointments are conducted in English.

Can you notarize an affidavit or jurat?+

An affidavit is a written statement often made under oath or affirmation. A jurat commonly refers to the notarial certificate for a verification on oath or affirmation. Bring the prepared statement and confirm with the receiving organization which notarial act it requires. Zachary can administer the required oath or affirmation and perform the eligible act, but cannot draft your legal statement.

Can you visit someone in a hospital or care facility?+

You can request a visit, subject to the facility’s access and visiting policies. Coordinate with staff and have appropriate ID and all required signers available. The notary must be able to establish identity and determine whether the act can proceed. A requested time is not a guarantee that notarization can be completed.

Should I sign my documents first?+

Wait for Zachary’s signing instructions. Some notarial acts require signing in the notary’s presence; others may acknowledge an existing signature. Bring your documents, appropriate identification, all required signers and any eligible witnesses.

How do I change or cancel an appointment?+

Call or text Zachary as soon as your plans change. A proposed new time does not change an existing appointment until you both agree. Any cancellation terms must be disclosed and agreed before booking.
